Kivoda, the Protector of Water, guarded the villages of Water on Okoto.

History[]

Before the arrival[]

Kivoda inherited the position of defending the Region of Water from his father. He was told the Prophecy of Heroes, which his ancestors had learned from the Mask Maker Ekimu, after his battle with his brother, Makuta, to be recited in times of peril.

When Skull Spiders began to attack Kivoda's village, he and the other Protectors went to the Temple of Time to recite the ancient Prophecy of Heroes. Not long after the six Toa landed on Okoto. There was a loud crash in the Region of Water and Kivoda led his people to its source , where he met Gali. Kivoda informed Gali of her destiny, but the Toa insisted she knew nothing about defeating evil. Kivoda then brought Gali on journey's through the region of water on a search for her mask.

Quest for the Golden Mask of Water[]

Kivoda led Gali through the landscape of the Region of Water. Kivoda appreciated Gali's curiosity about Okoto's history. When Gali asked, Kivoda replied with the story of the battle of Ekimu, and Makuta, from thousands of years prior, the great devastation it had caused, and the consequences it had brought to their current time.Kivoda then warned Gali of dangers of the power of skull spiders, their deadly possession and control. Kivoda informed her about their leaded, that required a force of united warriors, to defeat, the Lord of Skull Spiders.

Once they reached what was to be the masks shrine, Gali dove deep beneath the surface, skull spiders attacked, but she fought them off, Kivoda viewing the battle. Gali then acquired the mask and resurfaced. More skull spiders attacked Kivoda, but Gali used the power of her mask to save him.

Battle for the Ancient City[]

Gali knew where to go from there, and Kivoda knew that he had meet his fellow Protectors as well. Kivoda journeyed alongside Gali to the Ancient City of the Mask Makers. Where they found the other Toa, having each Protector return to their village, leaving the tow to battle the Lord of Skull Spiders, and begin the Battle for the Ancient City.

Personality[]

Kivoda is a shy but thoughtful protector. He doesn't involve himself very much, but he will help someone when needed. Gali didn't even need to ask when he started shooting at the skull spiders to protect her.

Powers and Tools[]

Kivoda wears a special Elemental Water Mask, passed down through generation, to generation. Kivoda's main weapon is his Torpedo Shooter.
